Trouble at Work?

Britain's largest union, UNISON, has joined forces with the National Union of Students (NUS) to launch a website that displays advice on employment rights for young people. With an ever increasing number of young people at college and university having to work to see them through their studies, the website is an important step in making young people aware of the protection they are entitled to in the workplace.

Many of you will have experienced poor pay and conditions at work caused by unscrupulous employers. The new website aims to help in the fight to combat this by offering advice and information 24 hours per day.

However, Newcastle Young Labour would like to back Dave Prentice's , General Secretary of UNISON, argument that the new website is no substitute for joining a trade union.
