Doujinshi / Mini-comics
This is really time-consuming, and I think that its very hard to do outside Japan where vital materials like proper art pens, markers, screen-tones etc. are so hard to get. I'm currently working on a few ideas, but how they will turn out, or if they will ever be finished remains to be seen.

Ginny In A Bottle Title: Ginny In A Bottle (* Note: A nonsense title is almost compulsory! ^_^)
Pages: 4 including cover & commentary
Done: December 2000

Comments: I won't consider this even a 'doujinshi' since its so short, and obviously lacking any meaning or plot. Its not even screentoned for goodness sakes! And lots of blank areas in the backgrounds too! >_< Its based on the characters from SaGa Frontier II, Virginia Knights, Premiere, Gustaf and Robert. And good girl Premiere reveals her 'dark side' in a 'decent' way after an insensitive provocation by Ginny Knights. Anyway, this was a gift for Sakana, and as long as she likes it (hopefully!) I guess I'll be happy with it.

Still Working! Title: Cammylot - Knights -
Pages: N / A
Due Date: 2001 (hopefully!)

Comments: Its been a long long time since I promised Stefan [CammyFan.com] that I'd draw him a short Cammy comic. Ideas came and ideas went, but I've finally started working on one with a medieval English theme. Quest for Camelot? A female Merlin from Italy? Cammy in an armour fighting a black knight in an old English street? It looks good in my head but I've come to realise that my hands and brains don't co-ordinate well together. Personally I'm pretty keen on fitting Cammy with a platinum coated, mechanical (assumed magical in medieval times) Excalibur-esque battle glove. ^_^

The 4-koma (4-panel) Attempts
4-koma comics are really popular in Japan and some artists actually specialise in this format. Its just a collection of simple strips of 4 panels, often a brilliant joke or parody with a series of well-known manga / anime / game characters. My experience with 4-komas are mainly from Japanese game magazines where you get a lot of fans submitting their work and also compilations or anthologies done by professional comic artists. In my opinion, its the simplest (relatively) form of comic, where you can to a large extent ignore plot, background, details and focus whole-heartedly on character emotions and hopefully end up with something funny in four short panels (which is often VERY tough to do).

Mina meets Puchiko On the Left: This is probably my first ever 4-koma attempt. So... uhmmm... well, I think that was a really bad first attempt and hence will cease to comment about it any longer ~ !
On the Right: This 'elaborate' Puma Sisters 4-koma took quite a while to finish due to the application of tone and the full-colour Puma at the side. This piece ended up in the 'feature' section of the Masamune Shirow Webring (which at the moment is suffering from lack of effort).
