AutiRing is a collection of homepages from people who have personal experience
of autism. The purpose of AutiRing is mainly to show people who have just been
diagnosed (and/or their parents) that autism is not the end of the world as
they know it. The AutiRing manager's (who has Asperger Syndrome) personal
philosophy is that autism is simply a different way of life, albeit a difficult
one.
If you want to submit your homepage to join AutiRing, read on. If you
just want to browse the AutiRing homepages for now, please click on the link
below. If you have any comments, suggestions or praise about AutiRing, please
email me - the AutiRing manager's address is at the bottom of this page. All
comments are invited.
To qualify for AutiRing, your homepage must be a personal account of
autism - either for yourself, or a family member. Your homepage must also be
arranged such that your autism information is clearly and easily accessible.
Finally, you will (preferably) need to have the AutiRing navigation box (you'll
get it when you apply) on the same page that you submit to AutiRing as your
homepage, otherwise it must also be clearly linked and accessible.
Please read through this mail before you start setting up AutiRing on your
homepage. It should be within the capability of anyone who has written a
homepage. If there is a problem, I can help you with it, but please
remember that there may be several people with problems setting this up at
the same time, so be patient :).
