Last month, Curtis Rivers performed the longest parachute jump in history.  Opening his parachute at 25,000ft, he flew for 45 minutes before touching down in the mountains of Southern Spain..  This bettered the old World Record (which had remained unbroken for 45 years) by 5 whole minutes.

We are all working hard this month to make certain modifications to hot-air balloon burners, radios and digital video cameras, in readiness for a 2nd flight soon.  The next flight will aim for 37,500ft, with Curtis Rivers exiting the balloon at around 32,000ft.  This will break 2 World Records for high altitude parachuting, and allow Curtis to better his own World Record for the longest duration parachute flight.  It will also set a new British Record for the pilot, Charlie Limon, for the highest altitude attained in this class of Hot-Air Balloon.

As always, we aim to raise funds and awareness for Cancer Research UK.  Our competition is still open, so please visit

to enter.  It costs only £1, and you could win a week-end away for two in a luxury hotel, inclusive of a champagne balloon flight from the grounds with Curtis Rivers and Charlie Limon.
