We hope that
the information below is useful in giving you a small insight into our
pre-school. However, the best way to find out about us is to give us a call on
0118 948 4851 during pre-school hours and arrange to come and visit. We’d
love to see you. Our approach is
based on the Pre-school Learning Alliance's learning through play philosophy. This
carries children from early socialising at three through to more focused
preparation for school as they approach five years old. At the age of
three children are offered the opportunity to play and learn in a fun and
caring environment. They have the use of two very welcoming, good sized, adjoining
rooms and a small, enclosed outdoor area. The pre-school is very well
equipped with a variety of activities to help their physical, mental and
emotional development. From the age of
four children may begin to attend our smaller Four Plus sessions. Many
parents have told us that they feel these sessions have been an excellent way
of preparing their child for primary school and have found their child making
the transition from one environment to the other with little or no anxiety. We welcome any
help from parents who wish to become involved in the day to day running of
the pre-school. At each session we have two parents helping on a rota basis.
This gives you a great chance to see your child at play. Our staff all have a great deal of experience of working with
children and form a wonderful, dedicated team. The senior members all have
the DPP or NNEB qualifications. We are
regularly inspected by OFSTED and you can find the latest report at http://www.ofsted.gov.uk. |
