One of the South's most sought after French-style Jazz groups. Their flexible line-up makes this band the ideal choice for a family celebration or anniversary, a club night, a festival or fete, a staff party, a corporate event or a sales promotion whatever your budget.
This wonderfully flexible group plays a mixture of well-known jazz, blues, ballads and popular tunes of the erly 20th century using Trumpet, Clarinet/Saxophone, Banjo and Sousaphone.
As the band only needs amplification if vocals are required or the venue is especially large, this makes them the ideal choice for strolling around a country fayre or playing at receptions and garden parties.
Their foot-tapping music makes Acoustic Jass equally popular to dance to or to listen to whether the occasion is inside or out.
For clubs, promotions, festivals, parades, weddings and funerals!
A well established band (formed in 1987), its regular 5 piece line-up of clarinet/saxophone, piano, bass, drums and guitar can produce a wide variety of good music from happy Dixieland tunes to dance hall favouritesfrom the 1920s to the 1950s encompassing exciting Latin rhythms and many of the 20th century's great classic songs along the way.
The popularity of this band is primarily due to having a sound that is planted firmly in the middle ground - neither "Traditional" nor "Modern" Jazz - but a repertoire that covers small group jazz from New Orleans and Chicago in the mid-1920s through the New York scene of the early 1930s to the "Swing Era" which lasted up until the early 1950s.
