NEWS FROM 2000

We are a small, friendly Club catering exclusively for Afghan Hounds and there are always plenty of people on hand to offer advice and encouragement to anyone who needs it. Why not give us a try?

The guest judge at this year's Summer Rally and Barbecue on 6 August 2000 was David Brooks (Zarzakos) who, out of an excellent entry of 30 exhibits, chose the following as his class winners:-

Puppy Walk: Mike Lancashire, handling Drishaun D'Lucille ('Dwaynetta'), Puppy: Alan Lewis, handling Nanak Freecloud Firenze ('Blaze'), Yearling: Kirsty Dugdale, handling Afterglow After The Fire ('Storm'), Adult Dog: Debbie Coates-Waite, handling Queendown Deniro To Kulute ('Deniro'), Adult Bitch: Tony Cleak, handling Ratheeli Tabindah ('Amber'), Veteran: Mick Griffin, handling Lazakhan Adora ('Hannah') and Junior Handling: Emma Coates-Waite, aged 12, handling Queendown Deniro To Kulute .

Overall Best Handler of the day was Kirsty Dugdale. The Best Presented Afghan was Denise and Ian Rogers' Drishaun 'Ice If You C'n Get It (Ronald). We all enjoyed a lovely sunny afternoon and we are grateful to everyone who brought raffle prizes and food for the barbecue.
