Recently we have added the option of half and full day excursions on board our 6 berth cruiser, currently moored near Lough Key. This is arguably the Shannons most beautiful lake and a great opportunity for both anglers and other visitors to experience what this part of the North West has to offer.The local area is also rich in archaeological sites which is reflected in the unusual 'lake shaped' design of the village fountain.  Many crannógs and

other ancient and medieval sites  are within an easy walk of the lodge. 20 minutes drive away are the bustling towns of   Boyle and Carrick-on-Shannon, each with excellent river side restaurants. For those more inclined to stay closer to home, Joe and Margaret Drury pour excellent pints in their very  cosy pub, just 30 metres away.
