KEITH LEECH
     Ceilidhs/ Barn Dances
        Caller and Musician.
OK I am not the best at Web site design, but that is because I am too busy calling and playing for ceilidhs and barn dances. Which is presumably why you are looking here.

I don't have many digital images of myself yet. This was taken at a function and is highly unrepresentative. I never wear a tie!

I often look more like this!

Lets make no bones about it. This is shameless self publicity. I am a ceilidh and barn dance caller and also lead a barn dance band. And we are all pretty good! (of course).

My usual area is South East England (Kent /Sussex), but I am happy to travel further if I think I will have a good time, or you are prepared to pay me!! (Go on convince me I will enjoy it and I'll be there).

EXPERIENCE.
I have been working on the English Folk Circuit for about twenty years.

Bands played with. I played in and led for a while Banjax.  In 1992 we were in the radio Two Folk Chart Top ten with our album Chaos in One. The band played various major Folk Festivals including Sidmouth, Chippenham, Towersey and Cleethorpes. I currently lead and play melodeon in the B&B Band which is made from ex members of Banjax.

Calling experience
You name it I've done it from a boat on the Thames to a beer festival in Antwerp, Weddings, PTAs and festivals. I have called for the Late Nite Extras at Sidmouth Folk Festival and at numerous other folk festivals and dances. Nothing is too big or too small. I have worked with a number of bands including Banjax, Florida and early incarnations of the Committee Band. I regularly call with many local bands in Sussex and Kent.

My aim is for everybody to have fun. My style is mainly (what has become known as) English Ceilidh, but I do have other styles up my sleeve. I have one or two Scottish dances if required and a few from France and Belgium to add a bit of interest.

If  I cannot do it, I probably know somebody who can.
