Gerry Cohen, the leader of the
congregation, has been teaching, preaching and leading
worship for over 20 years. Back in 1971 he accepted the
wonderful truth age-old truth that Y'shua
ha'Masheach (Jesus Christ) is indeed the
promised Anointed Servant of G-d.
Believing
that this good news came first to the Jews, but also goes
out to the goyim (the rest of the nations), Gerry has
been involved in bringing Jewish, Messianic insight into
the teachings of the Holy Scriptures. He has spoken
across much of Britain and ventured into Wales.
He has
ministered at Messianic conferences and has been invited
overseas - but with a wife and 5 month-old baby son he is
content to serve G-d's people in the UK for the present!!
He has
been thrilled to share with many different denominations,
and has spoken at Abbeys, Convents, Colleges,
Universities, even a Grange or two.
Gerry
is often invited to take School assemblies, bringing his
guitar to paint some "song-pictures". He's
always pleased to continue this travelling ministry. The
rest of the Congregation at Beit Anya are encouraged to
hear the responses from places Gerry visits and it is
always a great encouragement to meet with so many people
through the year, and share a "b'racha" - a
blessing - with them.
