Alclad II Lacquer

About Alclad II Lacquer

Alclad II Lacquers present a new range of realistic and durable metal finishes. They represent most of the shades of metal to be found on Aircraft, Cars and Armour.

They are specifally designed for the model builder to replicate that hard to find colour. Alclad II Lacquer is very easy to apply by the means of an airbrush.

This product is ready to use and does not require any form of thinning.

Because Alclad II Lacquer is ready to apply it can be sprayed at very low air pressure, between 12-15psi, so an air can fed airbrush will work very well.

Each 30ml bottle carries full instructions. Alclad II Lacquer dries in minutes and can be handled, masked or oversprayed according to the requirements of the model.

Over sealing is not necessary.

On wing panels etc Alclad II Lacquer can be polished using Micromesh to create subtle changes of shade.

This model has been sprayed with Alclad II Lacquer chrome as the main shade.

These engines have all been built using Alclad II Lacquer. The shades used were:

  • Highly Polished Aluminium

  • Steel

  • Aluminium

  • Dural

  • Magnesium
